There’s been a lot of talk lately about Bohol being “expensive,” but last night at BE Grand Resort Bohol, I witnessed something that proved Bohol is, above all, valuable.
On November 21, 2025, the Grand Bohol Harvest took center stage, featuring the spectacular Bohol International Flower and Fashion Festival. This wasn’t just a fashion show; it was a powerful statement. It was a convergence of textile craftsmanship and floral artistry that showcased our island’s heritage on an international level.

A Runway rooted in Nature
The runway came alive with pieces inspired by Bohol’s native blooms and natural landscapes. It was a visual interpretation of our cultural and environmental identity, proving that our local creatives can stand toe-to-toe with the best in the world.
The Visionaries Behind the Collection
The couture was nothing short of breathtaking. We saw incredible designs from a powerhouse lineup of Cebu and Bohol designers who translated nature into high fashion:
- Ej Relampagos
- Kim Villamor
- Christian Relator
- Hanz Coquilla
- Rei Escario
- Jun Escario

A Global Collaboration of Florists
What made this event truly unique was the collaboration with international floral artists. It wasn’t just local talent; it was a global dialogue through flowers. The floral installations and accents were crafted by masters from across the globe:
- Chrisie Chung (Hong Kong)
- Lily Beelen (Netherlands)
- Jun Lim & Kathy Ong (Malaysia)
- Hiroto Inoue (Japan)
- Hung Jo Moo & Minsook Song (South Korea)
- Lydia Chang & Bella Leung (Macau)
- Iza Tkazyck (Poland)
- Edana Yen (Selangor)
- Sandra Taslim (Indonesia)

World-Class Bohol
Events like this remind us that Bohol is rich in culture, talent, and sophistication. Seeing our local designers collaborating with artists from Europe and Asia positions BE Grand Resort—and Bohol itself—as a serious venue for the arts.
To the models, the organizers, and these incredible artists: Bravo! You’ve shown the world what Bohol is really made of.
